It was a little intimidating, but I asked my new barber to also do my beard today.

I feel like so many shaving tutorials for trans guys only cover the basics of using a razor and it's frustrating not knowing how best to shape your facial hair to suit your face.

It was nice to have someone who knows what they are doing set my beard line (hard to do when most guides assume you have a prominent adam's apple as a guiding point).

The barber also walked me through what guard settings he used on the clippers (you blend your beard instead of going all one length) and how I should continue to grow out my beard to get it more in the shape I'm looking for.

Highly recommend, worth the price. I feel better equipped now to maintain it on my own. His razor cut was also far gentler on my sensitive skin than anything I could manage on my own.

I love how the outfit is subtly Aziraphale-coded, with the tan jacket and shirt complementing the colors of the shoes. Also loving that he got all cleaned up for this, as his beard and hair are perfectly on point...

You can definitely tell Michael had a stylist pick out his outfit. He looks very cute. Also never seen him wear something quite as beige as he is wearing here.

i think a thing im v passionate abt is music. or rather, listening to music. i listen to it when i work, when i drive, when i clean, when i walk. i spend several hours every day listening to music. once during a trip i didn't have the time to listen to music for several days and when i finally turned on some music it felt like the world was suddenly filled w more color and life. i once was so overwhelmed w awe and beauty listening to a song for the first time that it caused me to have a panic attack. in, like, a good way, like, wow, look at that song, it touched me so deeply that i lost control of my body for a moment. i sometimes get teary eyes or goosebumps when listening to music. i listen to the same song for hours on repeat. i don't know anything abt making music btw. i took guitar lessons for some time but im not talented or good at it and it took too much effort to continue. i love the sounds a guitar makes though. i also don't remember any music theory. i have a friend who's naturally talented at playing the guitar but they didn't enjoy it but even after years of not having picked up a guitar they can still play songs at birthday parties. i think it's funny that they are naturally good at it but they hate doing it and i love it but im not good at it at all.

Jesus, he is so gorgeous here. This picture is incredible--the texture of it, of his hair and beard and even the blazer he is wearing, so crisp and clear as if you could actually feel it. Michael’s side profile is exquisite: His eyes, his lips, and that perfect, regal nose. Going to go shave off my beard next because I like the occasional clear cut before growing it back and also no one ever sees me so it won’t matter how baby faced I am for the next week.

Going to stupidly retry buspirone later tonight. If you’ve followed my “lore” (and I’m sorry if you have), the last time I tried it over a few days, it only gave me extra anxiety and made me feel hot and incredibly uncomfortable. Maybe that was a fluke. Maybe it was interacting with the antidepressants I had just upped my dose of. Regardless, we’ll give it another shot and if it goes bad again, I’ll just take a couple benadryls, conk out, and not worry about them again.

I know people really like disheveled Odysseus but like, wouldn't it be worse if during his stay at calypso's island he's the most cleaned up and groomed he's ever been during his voyage.
